Stowe Manor, a majestic 1920s Southern mansion in Belmont, North Carolina, was designed by the renowned architect Hugh White for the prominent textile magnate S.P. Stowe and his family. The Stowe family played a pivotal role in shaping Belmont's manufacturing and banking sectors, standing as true pioneers during a time when textile manufacturing was the lifeblood of Southern small-town economies.

After nearly a century under the Stowe family's care, the estate changed hands in 2021. The new owners embarked on a meticulous two-year renovation, lovingly restoring the mansion to its former grandeur.

For the past 30 years, Stowe Manor has earned a reputation as a cherished wedding venue. The new owners are proud to reopen this historic estate for bridal portraits, offering a timeless backdrop for capturing life’s most precious moments.

Our bridal portrait package includes exclusive access to both the interior and exterior of the manor, allowing you to choose the locations that best reflect your style and vision. Step into a bridal changing room adorned with exquisite 19th-century furnishings, where you can prepare for your session in comfort and luxury. From the moment you arrive, you'll be embraced by the manor's serene atmosphere, ensuring your portraits are as radiant and timeless as the love they celebrate.

To ensure your experience is as seamless as it is special, we offer personalized scheduling with limited appointments, allowing us to dedicate our full attention to your session.

For $275, you will receive two hours of photography time, with the option to extend as needed.

  • For a fee of $275, you get up to 2 hours of time at Stowe Manor, a private changing room and access to the the beautiful interior and exterior photo locations.

  • We understand that capturing the perfect moments may take a bit longer, and we’re happy to accommodate your needs. The initial sitting fee includes two hours, and if you’d like to extend your time, we offer additional 30-minute increments for $50 each.

  • Stowe Manor does not provide the actual photographer, just the backdrop. We highly recommend that you hire a professional photographer that is fully insure.

  • We warmly welcome you to bring up to four guests, including your photographer, to ensure a personal and serene experience at Stowe Manor. This allows us to maintain the intimate and peaceful ambiance that makes your session truly special.

  • To ensure your session begins smoothly and on time, we kindly ask that all hair and makeup preparations be completed before your arrival. This way, you can step right into your session feeling ready and radiant.

  • We want your bridal portrait session to be perfect in every way, so if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’re more than happy to reschedule at a time that works best for you. Alternatively, the elegant interiors of Stowe Manor provide a beautiful backdrop should you prefer to proceed indoors.

  • Yes, to preserve the beauty and integrity of Stowe Manor, we ask that no furniture or furnishings be moved during your visit, and we kindly request that no food, beverages, candles, pets, or children under 12 be brought onto the property. These guidelines help us maintain the historic charm of the manor, ensuring it remains a pristine setting for your portraits.

  • Our beautiful estate is the perfect setting for all kinds of special moments. We warmly invite graduates, newly engaged couples, expectant mothers, and those celebrating anniversaries to capture their memories here. Whether you're marking a milestone or simply celebrating love, Stowe Manor provides a timeless backdrop for any occasion.

  • We do not offer a shorter time frame because we don't want the special experience to feel rushed. Most folks don't use the whole two hours, but it's there if you need it.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking. For your convenience we accept Venmo, Cash, or Check.

  • Due to high demand, we are not able to refund the sitting fee if your plans change or you do not show up. In the event of severe weather and we have to cancel, we will issue a refund or work with you to reschedule.
